A full revamp of the Entabeni paeds ward.
The revamp of the paediatric ward at Life Healthcare’s Entabeni Hospital was a wonderful and fun challenge. We specialise in upmarket residential interiors, however, every now and again, we get involved in the odd office space for our long standing clients As a person who feels deeply for children and animals, this was a project that I felt, we should really get involved with. We wanted to create space full of fun and story. A place where little children in pain or wracked with illness can feel safe and comforted. I worked in collaboration with a local Durban branding company to come up with a story line to help create a world of comfort. The idea……scenes of Africa of course! A story line which includes all our loved and familiar animals of the bushveld and their interactions. The aim was to give the incredibly skilled and passionate staff the ability distract little people from the unpleasantness of being ill.
